Greeley
Colorado Shopping The Greeley Colorado
area is
the home to a great deal of shopping opportunities. In just the last three years
Greeley's neighbor to the west, Loveland Colorado has become the leading
regional shopping area in Northern Colorado.
The major reason for this dramatic
change was the development of the major interchange at
I-25 and Colorado 34 This interchange was the long time home of
just three features. The cloverleaf dog track, now closed, the Outlet
Mall and the Wal Mart Distribution Center. That has all now changed
dramatically.
The center piece is the feature which seems to
have started it all. The Larimer County Fairgrounds and
Budweiser Events Center. The
whole complex is called "The Ranch by the county and the "Bud Center by
everyone else. This center is host to an entertainment schedule that
rivals Denver which is 40 miles to the south.
The main area Centerra is a major
life style shopping area called the
Promenade
Shops at Centerra. The shops are located on the east side of I-256
and north of highway 34. Included in this giant complex is "The
Outlet Mall" mentioned above and the "Marketplace at Centerra". The
Marketplace has big box stores and small strip shopping areas mixed in
with the many restaurants and hotels in this area. The Marketplace and
Outlet Malls are both located on the western side of I-25. Also located
on the eastern side across highway 34 from The Promenade Shops is
a new development called fittingly 2534 which
is also under development and presently has shops, restaurants and offices.
Greeley's largest Shopping area
within the city is the Greeley Mall located on highway 34. Greeley's
neighbors both Loveland and Fort Collins are the ones with the largest
and newest shopping areas. Fort Collins is the home of the largest
lifestyle shopping area, but not by much. It is the recently opened
Front Range Village on Harmony road 1.5 miles west of I-25.
