The Greeley Colorado Area has a large group of diversified museums. The list and links below cover the entire region. Most of the area museums cover a historical prospective of the region. We would like to mention if you are a real explorer you might want to visit the Pawnee National Grassland. There are cemeteries and ruins there that are not publicized at all but if you wander around enough you will see some real interesting things.

Greeley Museums

 Fort Vasquez Museum. Highway 85 south of the city of Platteville. Go back into history and visit an 1835 fur trading fort. This adobe fort and outpost employed such trappers as Baptiste Charbonneau and Jim Beckwourth both featured in the movie Centennial. The fort owners Louis Vasquez and Andrew Sublette were among the first settlers and permanent traders along the South Platte Basin.

 Plum Farm Learning Center This Colorado Centennial Fram began as a tree farm in 1881. Buildings are hands on learning centers
 Greeley History Museum. This museum occupies a beautiful 1929 building that formerly housed the Greeley Tribune

Denver

Buffalo Bill's Grave & Museum. Atop Lookout Mountain. Access from I-70 Exit onto Lookout Mountain Rd (Exit 256) Displays of memorabilia and equipment used in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show Link

Colorado History Museum 1300 Broadway Denver. The Colorado Historical Society brings the unique character of Colorado's past to life at this Colorado Museum Link

Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. 1275 19th St Denver. This museum is an innovative forum that can inspire and challenge your understanding of the art of out time. Link

Forney Museum of Transportation. 4303 Brighton Blvd Denver. Anything on wheels. Many unique exhibits. Attraction is about a 45 minute drive south of Ft Collins. Link.

 
Berthoud
 Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum. Also known as The Bimson Blacksmith Shop. Small museum located in downtown Berthoud. National Historic site. Link
 
Estes Park
 Stanley Museum Lower Stanley Village in Estes Park Open year around and shows and tells the life of F.O. Stanley and this Stanley Steamer and the hotel. Link
 
Fort Collins

Avery House Museum. One of Ft. Collins best examples of it's history. A National Historic Place. Built in 1879. The house is a living museum. The owner and builder Franklin Avery is the man we have to thank for the wide streets as he was the towns first surveyor.

Discovery Science Center Museum. 703 E. Prospect Ft Collins. Colorado's only hands on science and technology center with 130 incredible interactive exhibits. Link

 Fort Collins Water Works Museum. In addition to ensuring an adequate supply of water for fighting the frequent fires that plagued the early township, the Historic Water Works provided the growing town of Fort Collins with drinking water. The 26 acre Water Works site also features evidence of a portion of the Cherokee Trail, and is an important landmark for conveying the story of this famous route, which led gold seekers, emigrants, and outlaws through the Western Frontier.  Link

 John and Inez Romero House Museum. constructed by hand of adobe bricks in 1927, marks the immigration and active recruitment of Hispanic laborers seeking employment in the sugar beet industry boom that began at the turn of the twentieth century. The John and Inez Romero House, which will formally be known as The Museo de las Tres Colonias, conveys the stories of hardship, perseverance and success experienced by Hispanic immigrants to the Fort Collins area.
